Janelle Betancourt, Administrative Assistant and Campus Pals Coordinator, graduated from Old Dominion University in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services. She joined RBBBS in August 2009 after completing her internship with the agency in the months of January - May 2009. In addition to her work at the agency she will be continuing her education at Old Dominion University with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health and Community Counseling.

Although a recent graduate, Janelle has had several volunteer experiences in the human service field as a patient advocate at the Rappahannock Council on Domestic Violence, a caseworker at the Rappahannock Area Office on Youth, and a patient advocate at the Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault.

Janelle loves working with children and especially at RBBBS because each and every day you experience something new while continuing to make a positive change in both a child and mentor’s life.
